Mercury Records Band Gives Back To MSL
The Neon Trees came to Music Saves Lives because they found out about our Salt Lake City Utah Vans Warped Tour / Music Saves Lives Blood Drives. They thought it would be cool to give everyone a copy of an un-released track from their new CD that will be out soon. They're are doing this for everyone that learns about how important it is to donate. For those that don't know the Neon Trees opened for the Killers on a few dates of their tour after Brandon Flowers saw them play a local show.Neon Trees
From a basement in Provo, one year ago, Neon Trees leapt onto the music scene in Utah. Previously from different bands in town, drummer Elaine Doty and bassist Branden Campbell finally joined forces with guitarist Chris Allen and magnetic frontman/keyboardist Tyler Glenn for a burst of creativity, which spawned six new songs in three hours. When the first rehearsal was over, Elaine was emotional. They knew they had found an electric chemistry that doesn’t happen often. Within months, they were playing to packed clubs in Provo…and then a call came…they had been handpicked by The Killers, who had heard and loved the band, to open for them on their first 2008 North American Tour dates. A record deal with Mercury Records was soon to follow, and the Neon Trees are currently in the studio recording their debut album in Los Angeles. Perhaps one of the most exciting live bands in years, Neon Trees are poised for a delicious future in Rock n’ Roll.
